Types of escalators

There are three basic configurations most commonly used for escalator systems:

Parallel: Escalators moving in opposite directions, located next to each other.
Crisscross: (Single) escalators moving in the same direction, “stacked” on top of each other to minimize space requirements.
Multiple Parallel: Consists of two or more escalators moving in different directions.
